Susan Lavelle, 2/3 Teacher Susan Lavelle grew up in the fog in San Bruno, graduated from foggy San Francisco State University, and happily lives in sunny San Jose. She is married to Mr. Lavelle, who is a handsome English teacher at Homestead High and huge sports fan. She also shares her home with two fluffy, large, and affectionate cats, who often leave traces of cat hair on her. Mrs. Lavelle enjoys using power tools for projects around her house, watching great movies, reading good books, eating dark chocolate, and exercising when the mood strikes her. She is an organized, list-making over-achiever, and tends to drive Mr. Lavelle crazy because she can't sit still. Mrs. Lavelle has taught in the Moreland School District since 1995 and truly loves being a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher. If you ask her, she'll tell you that she looks forward to seeing her students every day and can't believe how quickly each school day passes. Reading stories aloud, teaching music, and helping children learn to write are her favorite aspects of being a teacher.
