This is my sixteenth year of teaching. For many years I was a stay at home mom raising my two children, Michelle and Mark. For a while I had a career in high tech as a trainer before teaching in public schools. I received both my Bachelor and Masters degree from San Jose State University. My first teaching position was at Loma Prieta School in the Santa Cruz mountains. I taught first and second grade for seven years and fourth grade for one year. After leaving the mountains I was a K-2 Math Resource teacher and BTSA mentor for San Jose Unified School District. Now, I'm at Moreland and EDS teaching fourth and fifth grade. I love working with the children, parents and teachers at this site(especially  my amazing grade level team)!

When I'm not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, especially Isaac and Olivia my two grandchildren. I also love to paint, knit, work in the garden, read and relax with my friends. My husband and I love to travel and we're currently planning a return trip to Italy.
