Moreland School District is near the end of another school year of academic accomplishments, supportive teachers and staff, and community activities, such as family nights, walk-a-thons, the pumpkin patch, and music festivals, just to name a few.  As part of the District’s Strategic Plan, Moreland is conducting a survey to gather information about what you think and feel about your child’s school.
 
Our 2013 Education for the Future Survey will take about five minutes to complete and is available online May 8 – May 20 for your convenience. If you do not have access to a computer, or wish to take the survey in Spanish, hard copies will also be available during those dates in your school office. If you have children that attend two different schools, we are asking that you complete one survey for each school site.
Please remember that the survey is completely confidential; answers are tabulated by an outside company, and the survey results will be presented at a June 2013 Board meeting.

Hello EDS Walkers!  Click here  for a map where you will see the designated routes your Walk and Roll team have come up with for the safest, most convenient and most populated ways to get your blood pumping by walking to school.  The green route is the route we are going to pilot a “Walking School Bus” on for this year.  Eventually we hope to see “Walking School Buses” along all of the colored routes.  The EDS long-term goal is to increase the health of our Huskies and decrease the traffic in both the front and back parking lots and around the school. Students who are entering 7th grade for the 2013-2014 school year, MUST have a Pertussis Shot.  Students will not be able to start school in August if they have not met this state requirement. 

       If your child has already received a Tdap booster on or after their 7th birthday, please bring proof of immunization to the school office.

     If your child has not received a Tdap booster, we recommend you contact your health care provider or clinic as soon as possible.  Please bring proof of immunization to the school office.

   All immunization records must be signed or stamped by a licensed health care provider or clinic to be accepted. The following vaccines containing the pertussis booster meet the new requirement: Tdap, DTaP, DTP.  Please note that the tetanus-diphtheria booster, Td or DT, does not contain the pertussis booster and does not meet this state requirement.
